"Tried and True, and Something New" Webinar

About the Event:

Join us as we hear from Anne Knapp how Northwest Harvest has been building their Legacy Giving program over the years. Anne will share how they successfully use cross marketing strategies including opportunities for donors to give gifts now, which are important ways to keep donors invested in your organization.

They also offer estate and educational seminars to their supporters and highlight donor stories in their newsletter and other communications that all have the potential to inspire legacy gifts.

She will also touch on how to most effectively use your existing donor database to find the best prospects for this outreach and discuss ways to measure your ongoing successes.

The program will be approximately 30 minutes, leaving time for Q&A, followed by the WPGC Annual Membership Meeting.

About the Speaker:

Anne S. Knapp
VP of Advancement, Manchester College

Anne started her career in philanthropy in 1991 when she was asked to become VP of Advancement at Manchester College in Indiana. At the time, she was a VP in banking in Wabash, Indiana. Since then she has also served as VP for Advancement at Rocky Mountain College, VP for Planned Giving at the American Heart Association, and Director of Philanthropy at Woodland Park Zoo. Having decided that full-time retirement is not to her liking, she is now a Senior Planned Giving Officer at Northwest Harvest. She has served as co-chair of Leave a Legacy of Western Washington, Chair the 2001 WPGC Conference, President of WPGC, and recipient of the 2015 Frank Minton Professional Achievement Award. She especially appreciates the opportunities she has had through the years to be a mentor to others in philanthropy.

Anne’s undergraduate degree is from Macalester College and her master’s from Purdue University in estate planning and financial planning. She is a graduate of the Planned Giving program at William and Mary College and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation.
