Vicki Brummond, MBA

Director of Marketing & Communications – the Tacoma Rescue Mission

Vicki has extensive experience leading marketing efforts for nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Currently, she’s the Director of Marketing & Communications for the Tacoma Rescue Mission where she develops and manages strategies that drive fundraising and awareness.

Previously, Vicki led planned giving marketing for 15+ years at World Vision, a billion dollar humanitarian organization with U.S. headquarters in Federal Way and offices around the globe. As Product Marketing Leader, she oversaw the creation of campaigns, direct mail, brochures, websites, product training, and more. Her innovative strategies increased engagement and drove deferred revenue pipeline growth. While there, she developed a survey that consistently generated industry-leading response rates, a predictable flow of leads, and crucial donor data that previously had been difficult or impossible to uncover.  

Vicki completed a Planned Giving Intensive Training graduate course at Texas Tech University taught by renowned industry expert, Dr. Russell James. She actively seeks out and applies the latest industry research, including best practices from neuromarketing. A past speaker at Advancement Northwest’s Forum on Strategic Fundraising and WPGC’s Planned Giving Day Conference, she enjoys sharing her passion for marketing and empowering others. 

Previously, Vicki led marketing and communications for national brands including Blue’s Clues / Nickelodeon, Philips, and Hallmark. She received her MBA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
