Dr. Badshah and Elizabeth Gray will discuss meaningful community engagement, innovative programs, and insightful new thinking about philanthropy now and in the future, targeting gift planning for both current giving and strategies for future philanthropy.
Through a social justice, equity, and inclusion framework, Elizabeth Gray, and Dr. Akhtar Badshah describe the challenges and opportunities of cultivating meaningful relationships and working to solve the world’s most daunting problems. Dr. Badshah’s book Purpose Mindset: How Microsoft Inspires Employees and Alumni to Change the World will be the entry point through which he provides insightful tips for working with corporate executives and rank and file employees at Microsoft and engaging successful entrepreneurs from communities of color in an authentic way. Nonprofits must develop new strategies for board and staff development, and ideas will be posed and pondered together.
Teaching, learning, and giving are intertwined throughout this lively discussion.
